Two more to do

My ATC circle of friends is getting bigger.  Someone must have giving out my address.
I got this from Germany. 

I wasn't sure what to do with it so, I went for it.
I thought a tag would be cute so that is what I went with. 

This one I pulled out many different things and came up with a camera.
It looked like a family trip and with every vacation, you must have a camera. 

I think it turned out cute.
I don't think I went to over the top.
Now I just have to get it in the mail.

Since I've been gone

 Hello, I'm back.
I took a little blogging vacation I guess, but I found that I really miss talking to the air.
I've decided even if I have no one who follows me, I'm still going to blog.
One of my bright idea's was to take the treadmill out of storage and remove the sofa I find myself glued too and start walking again. My house is small and now that I'm working I really need to get rid of these extra pounds I received while unemployed.

I found this cross stitch in my crafting box and decided to start back with this project.
I have the bottom pumpkin done.
I have found that my eyes get tired quicker than they use too. Age! 

I have always carved a pumpkin and living in the ghetto doesn't bring many kids to my door on Halloween, I still have the want to carve.
I really didn't know where I was going when I started this but, it turned out in a cute way. 

 I'm back slowly with pen pals. I really miss my friends in the mail.  They always make me laugh and smile.

I voted by mail so I really don't know if my vote was even counted but, I did it any ways.
Now people are mad that Trump will soon be the man.
I don't understand why these crazy people think walking on the freeways with signs is going to get him to change his mind not to take the job.  I say, let the man do it and realize that it won't always go his way because there are people in a cabinet that will tell him how it all works. 

My daughter turned 24 on Sept.24 and she has moved to another state. Since we wouldn't be spending time on her birthday I decided to send her 24 birthday cards.  It wasn't easy and it took 6 days to receive them. She got a few of them late but, her kids thought it was fun to get that much mail. Even the mail man thought it was fun. 

I won these cards on a wordpress blog. She asked, Who do you need to send a card too? I said my friend Emma and Emma commented "cute cards". So I answered the question and she didn't so, I won.
I now can't say I have never won anything.
They are all so pretty I really don't want to send them out. 

I'm back doing ATC JAM's.  
I'm really behind at them.  I keep finding them in different boxes of craft things.
I am starting to clean out some of my craft stuff and not look so homeless.








This about sum's it up for me.
I'm going to start doing card challenges again.  I found one that looks like fun and they all have blogspot blogs so I'm going to get back into the card thing.

Paper bag album

I have a friend who loves to make things on her blog so we decided to make a paper bag album and see if others will make one too.
Here is the start of mine. 
I went with brown, not sure why! 

The paper bag is the middle part of this album.
You make a top flap and a bottom flap with card stock and attach it to the side of the bag where it has those two flaps.
Its all over youtube so you can go there and see what I'm talking about. 

This is the inside and I made tags to go into the opening of the bag, see the left side is the opening of the bag and the right side is the bottom of the bag.
I put love on the back of the tag to keep with the live love laugh theme. 

 Now all I need to do is put pictures in it an make it fun.
Since my oldest daughters birthday is coming up I might send it to her.  But, then I do have a bonus daughter who is having a birthday this month too so she just might get it for all of her fun stuff...I miss that girl.

Since I have no followers.  And nobody leaves me a message ever, how is it that people stop by and see what I have put on this blog?
I found another blog so I have been playing on that one over at word press.  I have 63 people from all over the world who leave me comments and silly things that make me laugh every day.
Why do I come back here?
Well, I guess I like to talk to my self and see if others stumble by to hear me talk.

I had my first child on a very hot Labor Day 28 years ago.  A day I will never forget. A child who I have broken my back for, went to bat for him even when he was wrong, and will still love him just as much today as I did the first time I saw him.  He has broken my heart many times in the past few years but, I will never give up on him. My Mother always said, "don't have kids, all they ever do is break your heart".  She was right about that but, maybe I have broken their hearts along the way too.

A book next to Ralphie

Hello there! It's been a long time since I wrote on here but, I guess I'm back.
I have no one who follows me so I guess like in life, I'm really typing to my self.
Yesterday I found this book in my daughters room next to her best friend Ralphie.  So, I started reading it.  It's a really good book.
When she found out I had started reading it she got a pissed off look about her.  So, I guess finding a book and starting to enjoy it would be considered snooping in her world...who knew!

Well, she has a new "beau" in her life so maybe I will get to finish this book when she is out with him.
Shh, don't tell she might stop reading and we don't want that now do we.

I have a new job..finally.  I really like it.  They can't remember my name and then my first pay check they spelled my name wrong on it but, the bank cashed it so all is good.

My garden happiness

I have been wishing for two years on this Plumeria plant to just give me one flower, two have now become my happiness.
I looked at it in the morning and thought..it's looking good.  Then by 3 in the after noon...happiness shines in my garden!
It took some time but now that it is here, I need to scream with excitement!!
My Mother always wanted a red plumeria plant and now I hope she is looking down from heaven, this is for you Mom!
  Enjoy every bloom it gives us.

How long will it last?

This is my neighbors new car or clean version of an old one.
The kid who lives here has had a red car every year I have lived on this street.
He doesn't drive to good so they don't last to good.
I wonder how long it will take for him to mess this beauty up.
It's July 26, let's count the days when this finds the junk yard as its new home.  It will be very sad.

Sunday secrets

My beautiful daughter came home from being with my God Mother in MN for 7 weeks with.....Blue hair on the left and Purple on the right side of her head.
Two years ago she came home with dark purple hair after spending 4 weeks there.
She couldn't wait to wash her hair because Grandma's water doesn't come out as fast as ours.
When I went into the bathroom the next day this is the surprise I got on the towel rack..

I guess I should be happy that she wrote me a sweet note saying that she was sorry she messed up a towel.  I'm glad my towels are old and she got a nice shower.
Her hair is really something I will have to get us too.

Broken but working

I know I have the oldest cell phone around.  But, it still works and my kids have my up grade.
When the numbers started to fall off I wanted to cry.
This isn't a good time for my phone to die.
I need it to get a job, to text my baby girl when I need to feel some love, when I take a walk, just in case!
It needs to live just a little bit longer.

My poor phone, you have heard every kid ask for something, heard me when I'm lost, heard bad news from death to I'm laid off from my job and now to a job offer I can't wait to start.  Just a little bit longer, we don't have this job yet, we won't drown, we will stay strong together, even when everyone else has walked away.
Thanking my phone for a good life seems strange but, it's my life line right now and I'm grateful for it.

A Tea Party

I have a pen pal from Ireland and she sent me this tea bag.
Having a little tea in the after noon is always fun.  This one is really tasty.
I love my different tea bags.

I've been a little quiet here lately.  But, life is looking up for me.

Aug. 1st looks like it's going to be a good change day for me!
I'm looking forward to a new start in life.

Vintage Pokemon

I guess these are really vintage now.
Everyone is playing the new one on their phones.
Wonder how much these are worth now?
Got to keep them around for a while.  I posted these up on Face Book and funny how my son called me and said, Hey Mom those are mine.
Now I know that my kids read what I post on FB...lol

Snail Mail

My amazing friend in the mail, Bonnie, sent me this beautiful card. We chat in comments on her blog, she is so much fun.
She knows I'm going crazy looking for a job, and all those life lessons that I'm going through.
I love this card, it made me smile.

Flower fun

I went to the farmers market on Saturday to find me some flowers to put on my birthday table.
I started finding fun glass ware to make these flowers become a work of art.
They smell so good in this tiny little place I call home.
It was a good day yesterday. I talked to three out of four kids and held one grandson, not a bad day at all.


I feel like this is the day after. I ate the wrong thing for lunch and now I wished I had just gotten drunk, it's all the same feeling.
Another 365 days till the next date changer.

America the Beautiful

It's getting close to the month of red, white and blue every where.
I found stickers in the dollar bin at Target and had and idea to make this card.
The banner is a sticker that I put on card stock and cut around it.

Open the card and here it is, Happy 4th of July,  The flag is all paper. It wasn't hard lining it up.
I made six of these cards and sent them out yesterday. 

I really wanted these cards to all have star's on them, but after finding that banner I went a different way.
I like how this card turned out..cute.

I sent this one to my God Mother, I know she will like it.
My daughter said that G-ma has all the cards I have sent her in a box. OMG that's a lot of cards.

Happy First Day of Summer

 I knew it was HOT but, I didn't think it was this hot.
I had been in the house all day doing my thing.  I decided to go out to do a few things.
I pass by this marquee at the park in the next town over and couldn't believe it, this is usually August heat.

This sign gives up dates for all over the town.
Flex Alert is a California thing,
I don't think to many people in this town turned off the air condition for a Flex Alert.

First day of summer at the time most people are getting ready to hit the freeway.
It was a beautiful day, just a little hot.

Summer Reading Book #1

Have you picked your first book for summer reading yet?
I decided on this one called..."Me Before You"  by: Jojo Moyes.
It's suppose to be a tissue box needing kind of book.
I started it today as I sat with a fan on my due to it being 102 f.  today but, I fell asleep so I need to start over and try again.

Happy Fathers Day

I found this card to make from like always a You Tube lady.  After watching for a few minutes, I was off to find some paper to get started.
The pocket doesn't really show to good in the picture but, it is cool.
I'm giving this to my son for his first Father's Day.

 I have a friend who I call "Daddy-O".
He is always wearing red, white & blue.  He talks like an old sailor.  This card is perfect for him.
He's my baking partner.  We have the best bake off's.

I couldn't figure out why the measurements where not working out the same.  Now looking at them together I see the problem...one is smaller.
I had fun making them.
I made a few other American cards but, I didn't like the light so, I will try again tomorrow.

My God Mother sends me some of the best things at the end of June.
This is another happiness box I received in the mail.
Pot holders with a message.

Wonder how long she has had them.
Love the tools, can't wait to start using them.

Pocket Letter

My very first Pocket Letter to send to my pen-pal in Ireland. 
I have seen these on "You Tube" and they always make it look so easy to make.
They are easy, it's just getting the stuff put together is the hard part.
This is the front.
You use baseball holders to start.
Then you can make a theme.  My theme is a little of this and that. 

This is the back where you can see all of the crafting supplies I put in the pockets.
I added washi tape to keep the pockets closed. It gives it a crafty look. 

I started out with a thought to have it purple & gold, but every thing started to become something else is cuter.
When you have nine pockets to fill, you go crazy with...maybe this, no do it this way. 

I used sticker letters to give it words.
Hello 2016 looked so cute together, even with it being the month of June.
I got the 2016 from Target dollar bin. 

Then I spelled out her name on the card and put the orange thingy on the out side.
It just seemed to need something on the outside too.
See what I mean, you start going crazy and this is only pocket #4. 

 I found the gold bow also at Target in the dollar bin.
I put "Read" on the card because inside the pocket is the letter to her.
I think this is my favorite pocket!

 Enjoy has a tea bag behind it.
She loves tea just like me.

This is the bottom.
I put paper clip of all colors with two coffee cup clips.
The next one has some ribbon.
The last one has pop up gray dots I found at Michael's for 49 cents!
I put washi tape on the top to keep the pockets closed and she will be able to reuse the tape. 

Just some fun stuff I found in the dollar bin.
I have no idea what she will do with that big anchor but, it so cute. 

 I love this tea.
She doesn't get this in Ireland.

 I wrapped it up like a little gift.
I love the card that says "So lucky to know you".
She can put it in her planner.

These where the extras I put in.  She said on her blog that America has better things for her planner. I hope these are something she can use.
I added a candy bar, what girl doesn't love some candy.
It's a little pricey to send but, so worth it.  I know she will put it on her blog.
I guess I should start showing the great things I get in the mail.
I have the best time going to my p.o. box, it makes me smile.

Somehow, I don't get comments so I'm thinking I pushed the wrong button somewhere.
I've been thinking lately to stop this blog because no body says anything.  But, then I look at the count and it looks like I have about 33 ppl who stop by.
