My journaling class 101

I found a free class to learn how to journal, so I started with a book I've had for awhile.
I'm really not sure what I'm suppose to do in this class. It's not like you have homework.  SO I guess I'm just suppose to do what I was shown on the video.
So here is my first two pages.

Adventure is calling you Myra.
This is on the cover.
As you can see I still draw like a 1st grader.  So I put a little bit of me in the corner with a star and some feathers.
I might find myself adding to this page a little more.

I found this idea from the video.
M is for......Me...Myra...a four letter word.
That is where I started
Ur mission....to learn to find time 4 me!
Smile more. Craft to find My self
Then I got out two stamps and gave a little more of what I like to do part of it.  Then the LOL stamp got put in there for laughs.
This is what I can say I did on my day off!

Let's try a September Challenge

I saw this last month and took a few pictures with that camera that doesn't like me. It really got me to take my camera with me. I didn't post any of these photo's, they were fun but not over the top great.
SO here is Septembers list.
1.I have lots of cups with odds and end in them
4. What is DIY..OH my kids just yelled out...DO IT YOURSELF....ooohhhh
13. Out of place..that would be me..hahaha
29. Wish..can I get that winning lottery ticket on that day & say wish come true?..lol
30. Where I'm from..now that's a hard one, I'm not even sure of that answer.

So lets do this...I have two birthday children in this month, 5th & 24th..upside down and LOUD.
Since my blog is on a roll I have no reason not to do this, right?
If you have any idea's for any of these day let me know and I will go out there and call it your day!

Good Luck and happy Photo a Day

Folding the money

Had some fun folding money.
I found this, of course, on you tube. I looked for making flowers from money and found alot of stuff.
I have a great idea for this..a necklace for a gift.
This looks so hard to make but, the lady went slow and really said the right words to make it easy.
Some how I made it look good even without new dollar bills.
My wonderful son Special K said, Hey you can make me one with $20 bills...hahaha...thats not going to happen.  His 26th birthday is on Sept. 5th, he might get some cash but not five 20's.
This flower is super easy, all it takes is three dollar bills and after you fold them you put them together with a ribbon. I used a tie from the bread, that is the yellow part, then used a red ribbon. I open them up to make them look bigger and now I think I will make five more, that will be $18 and put them on a ribbon for my daughters birthday tomorrow.  She will be 18..ouch!
When I get it done without her knowing what I'm doing I will put it here.

It's been a busy two weeks and August is almost over and I didn't complete the picture challenge.  I did start taking my camera and got some good pictures.  Maybe I can do next months.
But I did get Project Gabe done.  I got some amazing clothes for this young man going into high school.  You know when you do something right it just feels good in your heart...that is how I feel about this project. He has new clothes for two weeks and next month I will get some more so he will have a whole month worth.  I also bought a few things for his little sisters who are 2nd grade and 1st grade. I have a box to send the girls things now, I'm just looking for one to hold all of his things.
I got a message from someone with an amazing name...Myra Johnson. She is also looking for the Coke bottle with our name on it.  I haven't found it yet. I look in every store i go into and here in Southern Ca. we have lots of  7 eleven stores and they have lots of things you can't find in a food store so I always look there.  I'm also looking for "Alexis".
Well, I'm off to make some flowers.  I will show you how it turned out later.
Keep smiling!

Pushing the Envelope Mail!!!

Excitement again! I received a envelope from Jean but, this time it was a double envelope and it was also addressed to my friend Connie at the P.O. Box.
I was so surprised to get a note from Connie and then after reading the note realized she too got a gift!
I went into the p.o. and her and I  had a minute to talk about it, there is usually a line at this office.
She got to share her half with others in the office. This envelope had a line down it to cut so we get to share it.
Then I found that Jean had blog about us..even more exciting!

Well, now I'm going to have to share my book of crazy letters of the alphabet that I have been trying to teach myself what Jean does with ease.  Honestly, my letters look like I've never had a pen in my hand ever..lol.
It's really a whole new art form for me and I'm "not" going to give it up.  I love to look at Jean's blog..it's something I do everyday, it's called..pushing the envelope (dot) blogspot (dot) com... She has started me on a whole new journey into the fine world of envelopes..you should try it too. Hugs to Jean!

I've had a few days of not being able to get this computer to scan but today it worked so..I have a few things to put together and share. I will do it tomorrow. 1) I have been taking pictures of different things for a challenge called the August Break 2014, it's so much fun I can't wait to share  2) Project Gabe got started yesterday and it filled my heart with happiness, can't wait to show you.
SO, until tomorrow have a great Wednesday and Keep smiling it's working for me too.

I got mail

Look what I got in the mail...my friend Madison sent me this with a great letter.  Her & I have been pen pals for seven yrs. and we have never seen each other.  We write the best letters to each other, somehow we have the same luck in life, odd people talk to us when we barely made eye contact with them, we have moment's that only lucky people like us could ever have (hahaha), that is how a great friendship works, we laugh through paper. She's the best!

I've been playing with my camera and I'm keeping up with the photos that I need. Now I just need to put them on here.  Yes, I will get it together.
Have a great weekend!

Orange County Fair 2014

Went out for a long day to enjoy the fair.  The city bus had a deal so we got on the bus and I didn't have to worry about traffic or parking, best part of the day
Not the best pic of me at all.
Then the bus driver gives you a coupon for a ticket to buy for $3..a big savings.

This is made of all wood. Found it in the hobby exhibit room.  Some how it made me want to stand and stare at it and wonder how they did this.

I really couldn't get a good picture of this beautiful guitar.  When you walked in this building this was the first thing that you saw.  I can see why they put it there.  Love how its behind glass.  I just wonder if it's been played.
This really caught my eye.  It's a little bit of everything.
This dress was made out of tape and also the out fit next to it.
It was also made by a youth..so pretty.
This was in a frame in the paper section.  I'm thinking it called quilling.  So pretty.
There were cards in this section, I have made better cards on my own that were prettier then the ones that I saw on display.  So I think next year I really need to put my cards in this contest.

TABLE"S!!!
I really want to do a table.  This one won and there is big reason, it's so pretty.
So much detail.

A better look at what this table has, I missed looking at what was on the menu.
What ever is on the menu, you must have the correct fork, spoon, dish and cup that you would use for this meal.
This was so beautiful, loved the whole idea with cards and the name cards were cards.
"Life is a Game, PLAY IT"

This is the menu, so cute how they used the cards
They really put this table together. They won a blue ribbon and deserved it too.

Picture's ...loved this area so much and then I found this picture of  "You Know Who".  Can you see how they or I should say how "he" wrote this whole picture.  Her lips are so amazing. the next picture I made bigger to show detail. I'm not sure it its a speech or words to a song or just his thoughts about her life.

This is a winner all around. We know how much I love purses and flowers and here it is all in one. What an amazing piece of creative art work. LOVE IT !!

Love these two.  As we sat and ate at this table there was another couple and they thought these two were boyfriend and girlfriend as they were so silly.  So I said "Hard to believe they are siblings", the lady looked at me and said something awful about her two kids...she doesn't enjoy motherhood like I do.
This was a great idea, all three of us together in the reflection of Special K sunglasses...to funny.  My kids have the best teeth!!
That was a great day and some fun moments.  Then we stayed and listen to two local bands, "Tini Gray" they were amazing and then "Common Kings" so good.  I sat next to some of their family members.

I have a few challenges I really want to do this month so, I will try to get them going..one is to take a picture every day of something on the list, I have gotten started I just need to get them put on here.  It's going to be fun..going to do this one you watch.
Have a great week.
Keep those pretty teeth showing!
