It's June, the best month ever

My favorite month has finally arrived!!
It's time to celebrate!
There isn't a thing on this list that yells..WOW to me but, let's don't let that stop us from taking fun pictures along with an open eye out in this world of life.
There are so many great things that happen in the month of June.
I really need to make this month the best of all to this blog.
I still have this awful cold and I will spend another day home from work to recover.
I will think of great things to do on this blog for this month.
I hope you come along and help me do great things together.
I was watching a great movie today with my kids. We have seen it before but, it makes you think again about being a good person when maybe someone has hurt your feelings or many has made a comment that sets you back about wanting to help others.
The move is called "Paying it forward".  It's about helping 3 people and then each one of those help 3 people which helps 9 people and those 9 help 27 others.
I need to find 3 people to help this month. This will be a challenge.  So many things I always want to do but don't know if it would help or just be looked at as, making myself look good and that isn't what I want to do.
This is a movie that can be found on Netflix, really find it and watch it.  It does do something to you.
This is... Cheers to the month of June.  Let's make it the best month ever.
Let's do every thing we have wanted to do since January, every thing on our "To Do" List!,
lose that 10 lbs., let's blog about everything fun, happy, sweet, tasty and everything in between. Pull out that journey book and fill up those pages.
Can we do that?  YES, we can.
Let's make June the best month ever!

Broccoli cheese omelet

Not to hard to make.  Heat oven to 425f., spray a 9 inch baking dish. Cut up broccoli, steam cook it, layer it in the dish. Put about 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese over broccoli.  Whisk 1/2 cup of Philadelphia cream cheese spread, 8 eggs, and 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese until blended.
Pour over broccoli. Add cheese on top.
Bake 25 mins.
This is the finish master piece!
It feed 6, just like it said.
This is all you need:
12 oz. of broccoli
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese spread (in tub)
8 eggs
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

I found this on page 1 of Kraft Food & Family Mag.

As I sit here coughing my guts out and blowing my nose, I don't know why I went to the doctor in the first place. It cost me money and I'm still as sick as I was when I went there two days ago.
Things will get better.
I hope you have a great day and try this recipe for fun.
Make a wish.

I have a upper respiratory infection

or you can say...I have a cold.
I didn't talk much at work yesterday because my throat hurt to much to talk.  The boss asked me, what happen to your voice?  Nothing really, just don't feel like talking. Talking isn't something that I really need to do much there.  Well, I do have a few people I chose to speak with...we all know where I'm going with that.
This morning when I hit the alarm, my throat was on fire.  What do you try first, drink something cold that will make you cough or something warm that hurts all the way down. My first thought was to brush my teeth. My second thought was...it's time to take a day off.
By the time I rolled out of bed I went looking for that medical card I have never used to make myself a doctors appointment. There are many reason why I choose not to go into the doctors office.
     1) Not crazy about sitting next to someone else who might have more germs then me.
      2) Can they ever say my name correctly? Not this time either.
       3) What will they poke me with that will make me scream.  Just that q-tip thing that hurts and makes you have a tear or two.
Like always the nurse comes in asks me all those questions and then says, the doctor is finishing up with a patient and will be in shortly.  Okay, so the walls are so thin I already feel like I know the person in the next room without seeing their face. So I cough a few more times. Then the nurse comes in and looks at me and says, Oh sorry wrong room.  Great it is all starting and so soon.
So the doctor doesn't think I'm as sick as I sound..great! I'm thinking co-pay, I should have just went to Starbucks and called it a day.
So, Dr. Wu, is giving me some medicine that has codeine. Great did I say I needed sleep? NO I DIDN'T!
I ask for a doctor's note for work and as I'm standing in line to get my drugs I notice that my "Doctor's Note" isn't mine. It's probable the girl in the next room with the skin problem.
Now do you see why I don't like going to the doctors??
So Hilda (L.V.N.),you need to go back to school for a few more classes in...getting your patient records correct!!
I'm not thinking I will be going back to that office to soon, unless I need a name change and useless drugs.
That was my journey to the Kaise Permanete health care center.  So proud to say I'm a member at $180 a month along with that $20 co-pay, even when they don't think you're sick.
(O.K. Mom, I will stop complaining. I know you worked for them for many years, but, things have changed.)

It's week 22...No Way!

Lucky:.I wish I could get a winning lottery ticket.
Daily Ritual: should be to write on here every day but, we know that doesn't happen.
Borrowed:I have the neighbors cook books.
Pink: that shouldn't be to hard
S: so many things to choose.
Over there: sounds like someone doesn't want to get up and help..just point.
HA HA HA: this should be easy.

I love this background. Who ever did this weeks did a great job.
I found out that fatmumslim is here next to my town.  That would have been so cool to meet her and maybe show her around and see what she would take pictures of around my hood. I hope she enjoyed Disneyland.  The big celebration was on Friday, May 22.  The park was open for 24 hours. Every news person was there and every one who wanted to be seen was also there. I had the day off and stayed away, it's really not my place to go any ways.
Have a great night, see you tomorrow.

Let's color some fun

I am looking for this book.  It is for adults to color.
It is suppose to help you feel better...well, not sure about that now. I'm sure sleeping will be top on my list for that..lol
This looks like fun.
Now this one could be a challenge.
I would really have to put on my thinking cap to make this one a work of art.
This one looks like eyes are watching you.
Or maybe a crazy sea shell.
Now this could possible be a complete master piece when finished. Kinda a little 70ish if you ask me.
Oh Mr. Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tooties pop?  If you are old enough, you remember that whole slogan.

You know where I found this. Yes, on Fat Mum Slim blog. Got to love what she puts out there.
She said we could copy them and then I guess they put them up on your blog or maybe fb..she has some fun things to do and it always looks like fun.
She sent out a box with a little play camera, bubbles, glitter, sharpie marker, a candle, and color plastic wrap.  You are to get creative and take pictures of what you come up with.
Since, she doesn't follow me..I'm thinking I could find all of those things and take a few pictures.
I will get started and show them to you later.

I have two more days off...singing...oh heaven, simply heaven.
I have done a few great things.  I just got back from going out to dinner with my friends next door. That was alot of fun, way better then Hamburger Helper makes a great meal.
I have done alot around this shack.  I mowed the lawn and played in the garden..looks so much better.  I took back recycle.  Took a good nap!! Laughed with Princess P and took her out for some drive time.
Tomorrow is another day to play, can't wait.
Oh did I tell you I have my eye on a really cool car!  A Jeep Renegade..way cool, with many fun colors.  Just might need to buy one of those.
Off to get some more sleep in me.
Smile brighter its working for you!

Jenny's College Art

 This is Jenny.
She is an amazing artist, who is very shy about her work.
She goes to the local college (as where my kids go and where I once went). My bonus daughter txt me about this evening event so, after working 12 hrs. that day, I changed my clothes put on a never been to one of these events face and this is what I found!
I was surround by ppl who looked like they enjoyed art. I didn't know if I could take pictures so, I missed a few other things that she has done in this class...darn.
This is her looking into a mirror...how do I know this?  Her hair goes the other way when you are looking at her.  She is so beautiful, this look isn't one that I see often.  To know her is something you must earn.
If I would have centered this picture better it would have been a master piece.
This is probably a small piece of her world.
I see her girlfriends eyes (at her lips), dog Shane, Disneyland cash, a game, fries from McD, art supplies, marriage, pizza, time, and many other things that are who she is as a person.
I really like this one the best.
Every art student has one of these.
This gets the eye.
Maybe this is from a game and she put in her dog Shane, right in the middle.
The moon looks like a ear ring to me.
Those square boxes were my night mare in 7th grade art class...hahaha.  I think we all have had that moment.
This is her room, for being a great student.  She also received some money to continue her classes.
Good Luck Jenny, take that cash and color the world with your art.
This is something I found on a wall in the halls of the art classes.
It caught my eye because I love Coke bottles!!! I guess that's a church.
Things above this look like doodlings from others.

It was fun to go and she was surprised to see me there.
I saw others that I had known from my school days there. It's funny how they see you & still act like they are in high school & can't say hello or past a smile.  No hurt feelings on my part, I'm thinner!! LOL

Hugs to Jenny for giving others a time to relax & enjoy Art.

Good bye David Letterman

A finally farewell to a man who has made me laugh so many nights.
Dave Letterman is someone I never met and hoped I would someday go to New York and see his show.  That will never happen now.
I started watching him on my little black & white t.v. and last night sat with three of my kids, watching his last show on our flat screen. How our lives change through time. Mine for the better.
Dave's show had so many things to laugh with, from stupid pet tricks to him throwing things off New York buildings. Who could forget his top 10 list that where always funny, and then there was the slow nights that he would bring out Regis.
Good Bye Dave..Enjoy your retirement, Harry your son and time to do what makes you happy!
You will be missed.

Kraft Magazine May 2015 Food & Family

Found this magazine and how could I not buy it.  This cake talked to me.
I have never seen this magazine and now I will be on the look out for more issues!
It's the Spring '15 issue..to be displayed until May 19, 2015..$5.99u.s.d.
Kraft Kitchens Expert Susanne Stark has done a great job on this one!
There are 60 pages of yum yum.
Here are a few of my favorites..enjoy!
Princess P and I got this together..winner!
I have never made a two layer cake but with the easy steps on page 35 you can't go wrong and it was tasty.
I found the color sugar and we went for yellow, orange and pink. All you do is cut marshmallows at a slant and put the sugar on the wet part.
What a beautiful cake.
I took it to work for my Alicia birthday.
She was so excited. Then the tasting began at 10am, we eat lunch at 7:30 a.m.
The boss said how much he liked it...big whoa.
This is page 35.  Can you see how many times I have used this mag now..lol
I need to make the chocolate one next.
At the bottom is direction on how to arrange the marshmallows, we put the sugar in a bowl and dip them in..easier.
We are going to try the mini mellows and see what we come up with.
You can do this trust me its so easy and everyone thinks you have talent!!hahaha..but you do.
This is a must salad.  So easy.
Its 2 cups of rotini pasta, mix 1/2 cup of ranch dressing, 1/4 cup of miracle whip
Chopped romaine lettuce, I used more then a cup.
Chopped cherry tomatoes, bacon bites & some avocado if you want..thats it, so good
I'm going to put sunflower seeds in it next time.
Don't you love the vintage brown tupperware bowl..lol
It looks like a mess here but oh so yummy.
So simple, find it on page 44
This is my next master piece..lol
It's a potato that you cut and put cheese and meat in the cuts.
Who doesn't love a potato!!!
Looks hard but it isn't, find it on page 8.
They call this a pancake, I call this..a must to make!
3 eggs, 3/4 cup of milk, 3 tbsp. butter, melted, 3/4 cup of flour, 1 tbsp. cornstarch,  strawberries, blackberries, strawberry flavor gelatin 1/2 cup of water and 2 tsp. of fresh lemon juice
Use a 9 inch deep dish pie plate, bake for 25-35 mins.
Now how hard can that be..find this on pg.58..its called Fresh berry dutch baby pancake.
Gnocchi..I don't know about the spelling but I do know I love this stuff.
I have always found it in hard plastic on the top shelf of the store.  Now I can make it myself..so happy.
This is a must try, page 11
This is made by Kraft Kitchens Expert Floria Hernandez, its called Perfect Philly gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce.

I hope you find time to make some of these like I have. I'm so excited that I found this magazine.
Have a great Sunday.
I'm off to full my day with happiness..Hugs!

I'm a little behind on Photo a day

I need to play catch up on this challenge of Photo a Day.
I am having a issue with my pictures I can't get them to come up.  Why this one worked....who knows!
I have done a few things in the past few weeks.
I baked an amazing cake.
Had a party at work.
My flowers are growing.
I have done way to much over time and my body feels it.
I will try again tomorrow.
